Alexis’s Signature Granola Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup chopped nuts and seeds of your choice
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbs coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Heat oven to 325°F
- In a large bowl, combine nuts & seeds, coconut flakes, brown sugar, and salt.
- In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil and maple syrup or honey. Add vanilla.
- Mix to coat.
- Spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer, packed.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then rotate 180°, and bake for 5 more minutes.
- Cool completely before touching.
- Add optional dried fruit and crystalized ginger. Mulberries are advised.
