Alexis’s Signature Granola Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup chopped nuts and seeds of your choice
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbs coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F
  2. In a large bowl, combine nuts & seeds, coconut flakes, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil and maple syrup or honey. Add vanilla.
  4. Mix to coat.
  5. Spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer, packed.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then rotate 180°, and bake for 5 more minutes.
  7. Cool completely before touching.
  8. Add optional dried fruit and crystalized ginger. Mulberries are advised.
